1L243 & Moejoenorge,

Did you ever fix your leaks? I'm too dealing with a rear cab leak on my 01 f350 crew cab long box. I've witnessed the rear ac/door slam vents leaking, but I also suspect seams might be causing the issue.

Would love to hear an update on this one!

Thanks

After I drilled the hole my carpet no longer gets wet. I would use a sprayer on the rear body seam below the window and see if it leaks through. If not then I would go higher to the rear window... I doubt if I will not anything more with mne. Maybe someday If ever have to take off the bed for some reason I will have that seam sealed from the outside...

Thats great that it stopped the carpet from getting wet! So where exactly did you drill the hole? A bit hard for me to tell...

Also, when I lift the carpet behind my rear seat i see the water along the "seam" ... I've also witnessed those vents leaking, but not sure if it is happening both places. If its getting wet there behind the seat, would the hole drilling help me?

Thanks

If you pull up the plastic kick plate there is a trough under it. The water leaking through my body seam would get in there then it would back up and wick into the carpet. I found a low spot towards the rear where some factory caulk created a little dam. Before driling the hole I looked under the truck to where the trough is and made sure I was drilling in a safe place. . Check out the picture.. Make sure your water is getting in the trough before you drill the hole..

Drilling a hole in right rear corner of cab... solved my problems completely.
Been testing for a year and no more water in my cab and no more wet carpet.

Thanks for updating your thread. Quite a water-sealing/fixing adventure.
