Transmission goes into neutral ?

My '01 F250 with 7.3 decided to stop shifting.

No 1-2-D, no Reverse nothing. All neutrals.

I had it scanned and it has alot of codes...

Tranny related:
P0733 - Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio
P0781 - 1-2 Shift error
P0732 - Gear 2 incorrect ratio

others:
P0562 - System voltage low
P1670 - Feedback signal not detected
P0247 - Turbo Boost pressure low
P1248 - Turbo boost pressure not detected

Seems I have several not tranny related problems.. or electrical/electronic problems ?

I've had trouble starting the truck on a few cold mornings, but nothing realy out of the ordinary. Other than that the truck was driving fine. The tranny just stop working on my way to work. (No load, city driving). Oil level is fine.

Any ideas ?

Thanks!

Trans is toast. Mine did that in the Walmart parking lot waiting for my daughter with the engine running in the summer. But I could back out then nothing. It wouldn't move then reving serval times it would move a little. After a while it worked. Two weeks later same thing. Got it to work in 1st only but it slipped, then went dead. All fuilds full and not burnt. Towed it to John Woods now have a tow master trans. Good luck I hope I'm wrong but that is typical for these transmissions. Mine had 133K of service.

I wouldn't...John Wood or BTS and you will have a tranny done right.

You do have options. BTS or JW can send you a Trans and your guy can install it. From what I read here it will be worth your money and time to go with the best. I have been shopping for a Trans for when mine goes, and most everywhere I price for a local rebuild is only about a thousand cheaper and no where near the quality.

I took mine to a transmission guy for a quote and ended up at the dealership for the HD4R100. If I were to reset the whole situation, I would have gone with JW or BTS, whichever is closer to me. My wife and I normally have 3 vehicles, but she just sold her primary at the time my 'mission died and the dealership gave me a loaner while it was in the shop. Had I gone non-dealership, I would have had to rent a car for a few days.

Depends on how long you want to keep your truck and if you want to sleep at night. If you Chip or Tune your truck you most likely will void any warranty, you will not with a BTS. Give BTS or JW a call for more info.

Pretty much that way. This is the simple formula I use

Fixing to sell or planning to sell in a few months, get Aamco or whatever. Warranty looks impressive for the next owner. Not your problem anymore. Remember, I don't care if you put a $20000 trans in it, I probably won't give you more for that.

Reman from Ford works if you don't think it is a long driving rig and have no mods on it. I have seen techs squeal on people with mods so beware. You might not have the warranty you think. Not always going to happen but something you should be aware of that can happen.

I bought a BTS because I plan to drive the truck into the ground and I heard of his reputation of fixing the truck even AFTER the warranty has expired. Knowing my luck, the item breaks after the warranty has expired. Hell, if there were 10000 tickets and I bought 9999, I'd still not win.
