ficm wiring diagram-pinout

I broke the connector on a 05 truck i am working on.the big connector broke. I was wondering what all these wires go to. I have another plug that i am in the process of resplicing all the wires into but i am wondering what all these wires do? If there a pinout and wiring diagram for the ficm somewhere? I know most of the wires hook up to the other computer on the fender and the power wires go to another plug there. But how does the ficm know which injector to fire? Is there 8 different signal wires going to the ficm from the ecm?

I thought I had them but only have one. There is a thread stickied in the tech folder that has that information I think.

The X1 and X2 connectors are for the injector harness. The X3 connector has PCM communication, power supplies, and ground wires. Hope this helps. If I find additional info, I will add to the thread.

Here is the wire diagram for your truck. The FICM connectors and pin numbers are clearly identified.

I also posted a write up on replacing the connectors as well.

Good Luck on the repair.

Awesome writeup! I tried to put all the little connectors back in there but it didnt work.. i cut one off another wiring harness and spliced it all together. Got it running.. but now i cant get the y pipe to line up to the turbo and it has a bad exhaust leak... Its fighting me every step of the way.

If the exhaust leak is at the Y pipe connection at the manifold, I used the crush gasket mentioned in this thread. Worked great! I have also read of people using a ratchet strap to pull the Y pipe in line with the turbo, then tightening the connections. Good luck with the repairs.

FICM Harness wiring question?

When u did this did u mark the (5) black/purple and (4) green wires to the plug or does it really matter to which injector they go to? Im in process of doing the same repair but i didnt want to solder the blacks & greens before i know this?

TIA

Nick

X2 on the ratchet strap. Drape the hook inbetween the y-pipe split and connect the other end near the core support and passenger fender and ratchet it down. Have the turbo on the pedestal with the mounting bolts loosely threaded.

If needed you can loosen the driver's side manifold to y-pipe connection and the y-pipe to passenger up-pipe, but I have rarely had to do that myself.
