I ordered the H&S mini, s&b cai, and a dpf/cat delete from performance truck products yesterday. I was planning to wait a few more weeks since it is a $1400 outlay but had enough with this smoking bit yesterday.

I go into regen monday or tuesday this week. Reset trip 2 counter. Yesterday(friday) damn thing goes into regen again at 68 miles. Smoke everywhere while being followed by a 6.4 Harley edition.

I got home from the grocery store and placed the order.

Starting to wonder....

Very new to the 6.4 world, been reading as many posts as I can about regen cycles and now am starting to wonder if my engine has been dpf deleted already, prior to my purchasing it? It now has almost 1,700 miles since I bought it and no regen cycle has taken place. Truck is running like a dream, fuel mileage sucks but runs great. Pulled my 35' horse trailer last weekend and it did the job without any issues. Is it possible to see if something isn't on the truck, if dpf has been deleted? Or is it a program that is deleted? Apologize for the ignorance, just simply don't know...

When the regen message come up on the message center its very easy to miss, if you look under your passenger side and see a huge muffler looking thing you got the DPF still on. When you program the truck to remove the DPF you have to physically remove the DPF you cant leave it on and run a dpf delete tune it will get plugged up pretty quickly. The DPF is HUGE you cant miss it.

OK, that made it easy

Thanks Big Silly, I know now my dpf is intact. Must be missing messages and cycles. From other posts 600 mile maximums between regen cycles. I remember seeing that part from when I was installing my gooseneck tow hitch. Seperated tail pipe just behind that assembly to give me a little room to work where hitch attached to frame. Appreciate the info..

If you had a flash done in the last year, that's where your messages went. The last few flashes did away with the Cleaning Exhaust message. Now to see if your vehicle is within a regen cycle, you have to press Setup followed by Reset. If it's within a regen cycle it will say it's cleaning exhaust toward the end of the System Check.
