OK, will do...lol Ya I try to do as much work myself as possible.

I just filled up with diesel (about 10gallons) and used the truck to pull a trailer for work, drove a total of about 60miles or so. Anyways....no S.E.S. light this time.

The ONLY thing I did differently was NOT put in any Diesel Kleen when I filled up. Is it possible that I got a bad "batch" of Diesel Kleen?

ges we'll see what the codes read tomorrow.

The reason I ask you not to let the dealer fix it is because they are known for throwing parts at it untill fixed. Most don't know diesels very well and being an aged platform they are even less knowlegable on the 7.3.

Here is the AE scan tool. Riffraff Diesel Performance Parts: 7.3L Diesel Diagnostics | 7.3L Powerstroke Diagnostics | Diesel Diagnostics - Maint./ Tools/ Diagnostic They are about the same price anywhere so no need to shop around. They allow you to watch live sensor data while you dive or data log information so you can view it later. It is truely and amaxing tool to have. Save your pennies for one and it will pay you back with the money you save.

I have tried taking it to the shop for the last 2 days but since he reads codes for free I guess hes not in to big of a hurry to do it...Also my light has quit coming on? Hasnt been on in 3 days and I have drivin about 250miles. Ran Diesel 911 through it today and yesterday....everything seems normal...still think I need to get it checked out? I will just set up an app. with the local FORD shop I guess if ya'll think I need to.

Go to Autozone, they will pull codes for free. Some oil lube shops sometimes will pull them for free, just check around. Otherwise, I'm with everyone else, dont throw parts at it, there are so many problems that could cause a CEL and ABS light, you would likely never replace the right one without knowing the CEL code. If you have to, pay to take it to a shop with an actual scanner, not some little pissant shop with a oreillys or harbor freight scanner, go to one with a good Snap-On scanner or equivalent. Their scanners can read codes that are soft codes or pending codes. I know my truck has a oil temp code, and my scanner will not pick up the code unless I scan it while the CEL is on. That's how most scanners are. Make sure you write down the code and the description and post back here.

Never heard of an auto parts store that has the ability to pull codes from the 7.3.

Yes local auto parts stores do not have high tech enough scanners for my diesel...but they work for the gassers. Anyways...any opinions on whether I should wait to see if the light comes on again to get it checked? Its been 4 days since I have seen it and truck seems to run fine?

Any normal off the shelf OBD2 Scanner can pull codes from an OBD2 equipped diesel, they just cant do the advanced scans, like cylinder contribution tests and injector buzz tests. I know, I have a EDGE cts scanner and it pulls codes from my truck fine, but nothing else. I've also seen my local lube shop do it on a 7.3 a few months ago, the guy just drove it off the lot and came up the street and threw a cel and pulled in. They had just a normal OBD2 scanner, no snap-on or anything and it pulled it right up.

If it is running fine with no light I would put any and all money toward an AE and not have to worry about this problem next time.
I waited to get one and should not have. It is nice and I still dont know everything about it.
While we are talking about this is there a list of normal parameter readings somewhere???

Yes, our trucks have OBDII connector, however they are OBDII exempt. Meaning most OBDII scanners will not work with your truck (including Autozones, O'Reilly's etc). Unless they are designed to read diesels, they won't get you the proper code read and/or show no codes present.
