Nice to meet you Lee. I am over near Rochester so I am about 2.5 hours away from your neighborhood. This winter is not normal that is true. By this time of the year, I have had up to 80" of snow and this year it is around 20"

Yeah...we've gotten MAYBE a foot and a half total this year.

I'm a wheeled vehicle mechanic.

That is light for the Watertown area for sure. So you work on just about anything that has wheels on it right?

Yeah that's what all the locals have been saying. I still think that they're full of it though. I'm a show me kinda guy...so I believe otherwise until I see it for my own eyes, haha.

Yeah, anything with wheels...or without if that is the case.

Actually the area south of you between Watertown and Syracuse normally get nailed really bad with lake effect snow. Unfortunately the winds and cold weather have not been in place to get that going.

Yeah I've noticed that so far it's been pretty mild. There has been a couple nights where it's gotten pretty damn cold and the truck has shown some -4 and -5 temps but it's only been a handful of times. I think it's because I live here now.

We have been below 0* once this year. Well, I am having a tough time keeping the eyes open so I am going to call it a night/morning. Pleasure meeting you and I hope to see you again.

Yeah same here. Hopefully the wife is asleep so I can hit the hay as well, lol. Nice talking to you as well. I'm sure I'll be around more often now that I realized I registered for the forum back in 06 haha

Morning New York!

Well Saturday is upon us...RISE AND SHINE!

Spell checking on the Chapter Leader...LOL...now that's funny!...it's funny to me because I'm an engineer and I can't spell to save my life!...my kids tell me that all the time...I tell them they don't pay me to spell...they pay me to figure out highly complex technical problems...sadly though they are RIGHT...thankfully there is spell check!...speaking of spelling...did you guys see the story on the news about a utility crew in NY (no lie here)...they cut up the street and chopped out the CH in "SCHOOL"...well when they patched the asphalt and repainted the word SCHOOL...they spelled it SHCOOL and supposedly it was that way for MONTHS!...lol...here's the link: http://wxerfm.com/blogs/post/bolson/...new-york-road/

We got a covering of very light snow last night...nothing to write home about...but it sure is pretty out there today!

Got a few items to do today...figured I'd get my screwing off done early!

Have a great day everyone...I'll check in later.

Joe.
