I have a 99 F-250 Superduty 4x4 V-10 my question is, what other trucks will have the same transmission? Could I use one out of the 5.4 model? And could I use one from a 2wd? Any help would be greatly appreciated, finding one of these things is getting to be a real job..

 

All 99-03 (not 2003.25) automatics have a 4R100. However, 4x4 and 2wd versions are different.

All 03-04 gassers also have the 4r100. The 6.0 diesel was the only one that got the 5r110(Torqshift) in 03. 05 n up then have the 5r110 until the 6 speed auto came out with the redesign and new motors.

 

You can use a transmissions from '99-'04, but it has to come from a V10 4x4 or you will have BIG problems.
