My 73 F 250 4X4 semi build thread...

Some guy 3 blocks from my shop actually had them stacked in his backyard under a tarp. He got.them for his superduty but guess what! Wrong bolt pattern LOL. His wife was riding him to move them before winter so he said if I can haul them I can have them, so I took them and bolted them up. I also rust reformed my hubs as they had surface rust. All the lugs were good which was a nice suprise.
AK FORD GUY your avatar caught my eye. I work at the local fire department and am finishing up field for paramedic school (part of the reason I have less truck time than I want) I just ran about 100 feet of 3/4 inch gas line at our training tower for roll over and flash over. 3/4 inch @ 40 psi makes for a good time. It sounds like a jet engine and shakes the conex pretty violently put a huge grin on my face!

My avatar is a pic of our well-house prop, she burns propane and diesel and is a blast to fight . I work a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off schedule at work. I am on a volunteer department pretty far north, basically the tip top of Alaska. I have been certified for my FireFighter I and am testing out for my Engineering creds next week, FireFighter II will be next on the list. Granted, it's only a volunteer department, but we have a blast training. Up here at work, we do not see many real fire calls.
Stay safe brother

OK, lets see some pics of them on the truck. *EDIT* You were adding them as I was typing.
Looks great other than the backwards lug nuts. I can't even count how many times I've see that before (I spent 10 years in a tire shop).
How the heck did you score'em for free?
Those ate the 37's I've been looking for up here and no one has any. I did find one set that was pretty worn and weather checked and the guy would not budge from $400.00, too rich for my blood for mostly worn out tires.

Consider upgrading to the dual diaphragm setup. It bolts in, but depending on the master cylinder, you might have a small issue. On mine, the single diaphragm master cylinder has slightly smaller stud hole spacing than the dual diaphragm one. I just took a file and slightly ovaled the holes until it bolted to the booster.
If you go with a direct replacement, there is no magic at all. The only line is the vacuum line, and then there's a couple bolts that hold it on. Easy swap.
