I have been to Lake Carlos State park on a day trip and it seemed pretty nice. I thought it would be busy in the summer tho. We like the state parks because they are more secluded than most private campgrounds. May have to try Lake Carlos!

I like it there. It was busy on the lake, but not bad. I do like secluded campgrounds too, but in a group that can be bad. This one was not though.

Thanks for the info. I agree, the secluded camps don't work well for groups.
