2011 Nav Override

I tried the nav in motion override with no results, seems to be for 2008 or older system. Is one available for a 2011 F250 Sync? I have looked at Lockpick and others, was hoping to get away with easier option.

There isn't any easier option. Lockpick is the only solution.

Oh, and if you do put a Lockpick in, be prepared for a fight with Ford to get your NAV/Sync repaired under warranty. I only mention this because there appears to be a lot problems with the 2011 F150 Sync.

Before I'd spend $300 on the lockpick I would spend less than 1/2 and augment my system with a Garmin or Tom Tom.

In order for your passenger to change the navigation you have to stop the truck, wife is not thrilled.
Lockpick lets you change certain lockouts, ie nav, dvd in motion, rear camera...

I'm guessing you didn't get Sync?

If you did, you can set and change destinations, waypoints, etc. using the voice commands. I use it all the time on my 09.

I've got sync but I would like to be able to turn on my rear camera anytime just to check on the trailer or look behind me when not in reverse.

The lockpick is an easy install, all plug and play (have it on my nav unit). If you have radio troubles, just take it out before going to the dealer...

I dunno, but my Sync appears to mangle what it "thinks" I said and produces something different, so I never tried it again.

I may give it another go if I can control NAV while on the move...

Did you set up a voice profile?

interesting. So where does one get this "Lockpick", is it hardware or software, and how exactly does one de-install it when going for Navigation service if the dealer wont support it? How long does it take to remove?

It's a module that plugs in line with the stereo. Doesn't require any separate power/ground/etc wires (at least on my SD Nav unit). It took me longer to get my dash and the stereo out than hooking it up.

Videos and details are on their site: FORD LOCKPICKS
