My 08 f250 with the 6.4 just hit 50000 miles and is still under warranty. I was curious if I could do the delete with a tuner and not have my warranty void.

Unfortunately, no. Reflashing your PCM with a tune other then a Ford sanctioned tune can result in your warranty being voided. By adding a tuner and deleting your DPF, your taking a chance that nothing will happen requiring you to request warranty work. If your worried about your warranty, you should probably leave it be.

As for being healthy for the tuck. My fuel dilution went from 4.5% to >.5%.

Talk to your dealer and see how they feel about mods. If it's not a problem with them, go for it. Definately better for your truck!

Something to think about. If you do the delete and then travel far from home and have an issue what do you do?

So factor that into your thoughts. For me it is just easier to leave it on till I am much closer to out of warranty. Besides my fuell dillution is non existant.

You can still do the delete just take the stuff with you so you can put it on and reflash to stock programming.

Yeah, just because you take the tuner off and revert to stock, doesn't mean they don't have other ways to tell if your tuned.

The dealers scan tools can view who or what has accessed the pcm. if they see that something has accessed the pcm and it does not match dealership records then they will know that you had a tuner in it.

The dealership that i recently worked at said that they are cool about these types of mods. they said that they willl still do warrenty work on modded trucks even if the tuner or exhaust mod is still in the truck when it comes to the shop.
