A/C Not blowing cold air
Took my 2007 F-250 to a/c shop and was told my a/c orfice tube was blocked and needed replacing. I was shown this tube and it was totally caked with green material and some metal shavings. I was told i need to replace, compressor, dryer and evaperator. I only have 64,000 miles on this truck should I have all this replaced on my tab, or should I try and call ford on this issue?

if its out of warranty you probably wont get anything from ford but its worth a phone call, especially if it has been worked on while under warranty. do you have a extended warranty? but it sounds like the compressor failed and sent debris throught the system. whoever repairs it ask them for a warranty on their work..ford reccomends installing a in line filter kit after flushing the system "if there was a lot of debris"...if they re use components that were flushed the filter kit is a little added insurance

well after being out of the car business for a long time i found out that the oem's (or some oem's) put a uv dye in the ac system at the assembly line, im not sure when they started doing this, but it does make sense to do this, my 08' ford shop manual verifies this also
