Need help with lift!

Hi all, I have a 73 highboy that I did the front sd spring modification to lift it. I didn't measue the height of the truck befor I lifted it so I don't know how much lift I need to order the new rear springs to accomidate for the front lift. The only way I could think of that doesn't matter what tire size you have is if you measured on the passenger side from the top of the axle to the bottom of the frame. Thanks in advance.

Either way of measuring mentioned will work. What lift SD springs did you use up front? I'm guessing you're looking to get rid of the blocks in the rear? Shackle flip?

Nope I'm keeping the blocks. I was told they were 6 inch sd springs I think. I'm. Not positive though. I'm getting new springs made at a shop called dentonis in sacramento. I'm planning to make ladder bars in the near future. And i'd prefer the way I mentioned because the other way can vary with different adjustments of the sheetmetal and worn out bushings.

I built a custom spring hanger and shackles. Check out my build thread in my signature for more info. All i need is someone with a stock highboy to measure that distance. I can figure the rest out on my own.

Stock? Weird... With the lift mines 16 #/4 so i guess i got ripped off! When i bought the springs they came with a dana 60 front, and a dana 70 rear and were supposedly 6 inch springs...

Good news, I'm not around the truck tonight so I asked a friend/neighbor to measure it. Well he mistakenly measured the rear, and got 12 3/4". Called him back and got him to measure the front, comes in at 10 1/2". So you got what you paid for.

Yeah I was actually about to hit the sack and couldn't stop thinking...."dang that sounds tall". So I called him back and sure enough. Looking at your build thread, are you sure you want the shackles in the front on your rear susp? I don't think you like it very much.

Actually, i need to update that thread haha. I'm getting new springs made and using the stock configuration of the hangers. I guess ill just have to use some grade 8 hardware with the good locknuts and bolt it back on
