That sounds good to me. I agree with new tubes and O-rings. When are you expecting it? Where is your signature? Who put the "DIP" in the DP TA DIPTY DIP?

Hey i got the fuel bowl and fuel control manifold. The FPR is the 49er style versus fed. It also has the sensor port plugged. What is the point of plugging the sensor? Planning on putting the unit in Saturday. I ordered the fuel lines from dieselorings.com and they should be here Friday.

Thanks

Don't forget to make sure the IPR is connected properly after the bowl is installed. You'll have to remove the harness on the R&R. Sounds like your good to go.

I got the new fuel control manifold in and the fuel bowl. I went ahead and replaced the fuel lines while I was in there. Not too bad overall. Just glad that this time I did not have to deal with the turbo (that thing tends to be a beast.) Anyways, she is firing a whole lot easier. She idles smoother and responds quicker to the accelerator.

I also changed my master cylinder last week before everything went a wall with the fuel regulator. I completely bled the system to get rid of all the old fluid - I rigged a pressure pump with a pressure gage to the old M.C. cap and install quick bleeders. Worked like a charm. My only problem that remains with the brakes is that my durn parking brake light and ABS lights come on after a hard stop or a long time at the red light. It did this prior to replacing the M.C. and was hoping that replacing the m.c. would take care of it. I am now thinking it might be the RABS valve or rear speed sensor. And oh yeh, the brake fluid looked like old used oil - it was nasty.

The other issue I still have is that when I hit the accelerator hard, she responds awesome, but she very rarely right now at least, will have a split second during the acceleration where she has no power. It seems as if the PCM shuts down momentarily. Could this be the PCM or IDM?

I am getting so close at getting this beast in top shape from where she has been. Ready to move onto the suspension here soon and then the interior and paint. Thanks for the help!

Sounds like you are moving right along! If you remember, will you let us know what kind milage you are getting in the next few tanks?
Could the delay be due to the transmission down shifting before it accelerates?

I will let you know about my mileage. I don't think that it is the down shift from the tranny. It is almost like there is a second of nothing working. I mean radio and lights still work, however it is like the engine just quits for a split second. I had these symptoms prior to what I just did. They are not often at all right now but would like to nip it in the but before it becomes something major.

Thanks

And current mileage is 205k

It is like the engine just turns off for a second. It only happens when I need to gun it hard. I don't think it would be the accelerator pedal as when this happens I typically have the thing floored.

We should prolly work on the origonal problem (as the thread starts) and then open up new threads for other problems. You will get more responces and it will help others later when they research their problems. What do you think?
