Proper Break-in ???
HEY GUYS
I'VE GOT ABOUT 1400 MILES ON THE V-10 NOW AND I AM AVERAGING A SOLID 13MPG RUNNING BACK ROADS AROUND RURAL MISSOURI HERE. 14 ON THE INTERSTATE @75MPH.
I'M LOOKING FOR INPUT ON PROPER BREAK-IN PROCEDURES THAT EVERYONE HAS USED. I'VE HEARD BABY THEM FOR 5000 OR BREAK EM IN LIKE YOUR GOING TO USE EM. I'M PLANNING ON TAKING THE CAMPER (8500#s) UP NORTH FOR A LITTLE HUNTING TRIP AND ALSO JUST TO SEE WHAT SHE'LL DO.

Most of your break in happened the first few hundred miles, though things can continue to seat up to around 10K miles from what I have seen. At 1500 I would drive it like you intend to drive it. Keeping the RPMs too low all the time can hurt your ability to get good high end hp later.
