Why not get both the NV4500 and TC as a pair, and use them? The NV4500 is a far better trans than the Getrag, so it would be a bonus. Plus, you could sell the Getrag......

Kinda planning a similar swap in my F150, but it's 2wd, which simplifies things a bit..... Want a 12V or 24V Cummins and 5 speed. Ought to get twice the MPG & towing power of the 300......

Yeah I don't know that I'd ever try flipping a case; vents etc etc etc. the clocking I was referencing is the alignment if he was to convert his Ford NP205 over to a 29 spline input, the 6 bolt pattern on both the tranny and case would physically bolt up because they both use a symmetrical bolt pattern. However, I think the symmetrical pattern is clocked different on a tranny made for a pass drop and the case made for a driver drop.
As I mentioned and Rogue Wulf said, a NV4500 and newer t-case is certainly a straight forward, no hassle option. However, I know in my case having parts on hand and spending a little to make them work was still more economical than locating individual parts I didn't already have.

That is good information, thanks. Yeah, if I could afford to just buy a NV 4500 and T case, I'd probably buy a new advance adapter atlas II case for the Getrag. But money is tight. Advance adapter can adapt my BorgWarner T case, and it actually has better crawl ratio and so forth. That is probably the way to go.
