Cam suggestions 95 f150

Well guys the 95 f150 is getting a new motor! its still going to be a stock 351w SD but my question is what is a good cam. for a DD? it dos have a E40D so i dont want to put a stall in it and maintain good driveability... also is a cam., Longtube headers and a full 2 1/2" true dual exhaust about all the SD can handle? Also just out of curiosity what type of mileage will i get with a more aggresive cam. the mileage dosent bother me but just thought it would be interesting to know

The 95 should have a decent roller cam in it , you really can't run an agressive cam with SD , i would just put a set of 1.7 rockers on it to up the lift of the stock cam , 2 1/4 duel exhaust is good for a stock motor , if you up grade the heads & so on i would go 2 1/2 duels...Lew

If you are willing to get a tune, then I have a cam for you . I purchased a 95 w/ a 5.8 that has a comp xe270hr cam installed in it, the thing would't idle at all. Come to find out that the cam is to big for a sd sys, but would work in a mas set up-the guy that had the truck before me had the two confused. So I am pulling the cam today and throwing in the original one, luckily he threw that in when I purchased truck.

I have a 270HR in my '95 with MAF. Nice cam and drivability is good with MAF.

I was looking at some cam. kits on summit racing and not sure what and will not work with it. Only if my truck was built a few months later i would have had MAF! anyways... i am looking for the most aggresive cam. i can use with the SD system without having to tune it and what not and good driveability sense this is my DD to help turn the new upcoming 35s (already getting gears so just looking to make some power, also am getting hooker ceramic LT headers with the true dual exhaust i have but upgrading it from 2 1/4" piping to 2 1/2" sense i will be adding magnaflow high flow cats. emissions can !

Crane makes a 2020 series roller cam this is SD EFI friendly.. part number 444211. The Comp cams 35-512-8 is very much a high lift version of the F4TE cam, that's the stock cam in '94+ trucks and the Explorer. The Comp 35-349-8 would also work, it is close to a high lift version of the 5.0HO cam.

Which one would you recommend for putting in my truck? I dont know anything about cam. specifics or the SD system if you would have a link that would be great, sending the list in tommorow to the guy at the shop so trying to figure out the last bits i dont have much knowledge on...

Of those 3 I like the Crane 444211 because it is closest to the 444232 flat tappet I have in my 5.8 and I like how it performed. Crane Cams 444211 - Crane CompuCam Camshafts - Overview - SummitRacing.com

You will need matching valve springs with this cam because I don't think the stockers will handle that much lift without coil bind, and also test fit the springs and valve stem seals together to make sure the seals don't interfere or limit spring travel.

Anything you may think i need please be free to add, i dont mind spending the $ to make sure its done right. I really appreciate the advice for us that arent as knowledgble in this field any idea how much hp/tq i will gain with a full exhaust? (LT headers, 2 1/2" true duals with just magnaflow highflow cats.) i figured i should get a good 20-25 rwhp, 30-35 rwtq from the headers and exhaust, and figuring due to drivetrain loss the stock motor will put out roughly 210rwhp, 290-295 rqtq, i am looking at 230 or so rwhp, and 320-330 rwtq with full exhaust then whatever the cam. may add if this sounds about right?
