Dreaming of Owning a Raptor? This One Could Turn Fantasy into Reality
Raptor raffle proceeds support charity that is helping to find gainful employment for working Americans with severe disabilities.
Do you know what love is? If you said love was a Lightning Blue Ford Raptor, you’d be right. Alas, a love like that costs a lot of green (around $50,000, to start). Thus, all some of us can do is dream a little dream while posting photo upon photo upon photo of our azure muse.
But you know what they say, right? Dreams can come true, and it can happen to you. And what’s better than making fantasy-truck dreams come true while also helping those who help our country in a big way? All you have to do is check out this cool charity raffle put on by the folks at TRI Industries, and you could be sitting in a 2017 Ford Raptor in Lightning Blue.
So, what do you need to do to have a shot at making this a raptor reality for yourself? Simply make a donation and you’ll get a few tickets to throw into the pot. For $30, you get 12 chances plus four bonus chances, while $1,000 nets you 400 tickets plus an additional 500 tickets. And we’re sure you can always donate more to get more shots.
And each ticket give you a shot at this lovely blue Raptor, of course. The Ford truck is equipped with the 802A package, which has it all: heated and cooled leather seats, carbon fiber interior, twin-panel moonroof, forged aluminum wheels, technology for days, a towing kit, a tonneau cover, and so much more. Add 450 horses and 510 lb-ft of torque from the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, a range of driving modes, a 10-speed automatic to ferry the power to the corners, and grippy rubber to tackle everything, and you’ve got a truck that is worthy of your heart.
Meanwhile, 100 percent of the net proceeds will go back to helping TRI Industries directly support “their mission to employ individuals with severe disabilities including veterans and the blind.” Don’t delay to have a shot at making your dream come true, though, as the drawing will take place August 3 at 3 pm Central Daylight Time (Chicago is the major city in that time zone, if it helps). Love is blue, indeed.
