2019 Ford Ranger USA Release Date

Blue Oval remains vague about when the 2019 Ford Ranger will hit dealer lots. But we’ve got a pretty good idea.

At this point, if you’re planning on purchasing a 2019 Ford Ranger, you’re probably getting a little anxious. After all, we’ve entered the second half of the year. Which is traditionally when new models begin to arrive at dealerships. But as of now, Ford still hasn’t announced when the new Ranger will be available for purchase. Nor when you can even order one. But fear not, Ranger fans. Because we’ve scoured the internet and collected all the 2019 Ford Ranger USA release date info we could find.

The most reliable clue, of course, is the one provided by the Blue Oval itself. And so far, the only thing we have to go by is in tiny print on their official Ranger site. And that merely states that the Ranger will be “available early 2019.” Now, that might come as a bit of a shock to most of you. But considering the fact that the brand’s “Ford Ranger Drive Tour,” which offers people the “first chance” to drive one kicks off in November, we have little reason to doubt it.

We’ve also got some more concrete dates from our members in the Ford Truck Enthusiasts forums that seem to support an early 2019 release date. One of our members, pstroke, posted these key dates in this thread recently.

  • 08/13/2018 – 2019MY Order Bank Open Date

  • 09/13/2018 – 2019MY Scheduling Begins

  • 11/26/2018 – 2019MY Job #1 Date

2019 Ford Ranger USA Release Date

If you’re not familiar with this ordering/sale date lingo, let us translate it for you. From the looks of things, you’ll be able to order a 2019 Ford Ranger beginning on August 13. Scheduling for production begins exactly a month later on September 13, and production actually starts on November 26. Though these dates haven’t been confirmed by Ford, they make a lot of sense given our “early 2019” availability.

That information was reportedly grabbed from a recent FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin), according to a post at Blue Oval Forums. Reportedly, the official order guide will also release to dealers on 8/13. Reading the tea leaves, all of this would suggest that ordering a new mid-size 2019 Ford Ranger early would lead to an early 2019 delivery.

It’s a bit of a disappointment for those who’ve been waiting years for the return of the Ranger. But at this point, we’re guessing it’ll be worth the wait. At the very least, we’ll know a whole lot more about Ford’s new mid-size pickup when the order guide hits the web in mere days!
