10. You Are Not interested In Attending Some of the Best Enthusiast Events in the World

Ford vehicles have an enthusiast following that is unlike anything else. And if you have a Ford truck or SUV, you can partake in some top-notch Ford events. How about the Bronco Off-Roadeo? Raptor Assault School? Carlisle Ford Nationals? I have personally attended this event for the last several years. And I have attended almost every other automotive event at Carlisle over the last several years. And the Ford event is the largest and most impressive showing. Buy a Ford and get involved.

9. You Are Not Interested in History

Ford build the first factory-built pickup truck in 1925. The company has been making pickups in America longer than anyone else. The Model TT came out in 1917, but it required you to build a bed yourself or have another company do it. Either way Ford was the first American company to make a pickup. Don’t you want to be part of that historic tradition?

8. The Word ‘Raptor’ Means Nothing to You

How could you possibly not be enticed by any of the Ford Raptor models? The F-150, the Bronco, and now the Ranger. They all offer a Raptor trim which immediately makes them the most impressive vehicles in their respective segments. Big tires, powerful engines, bold looks, advanced suspensions. The Raptor family is one of the most entertaining vehicle model families in all the automotive universe. How could you not want one?

7. You Don’t Want the Best Compact Pickup Truck on the Market

Not a Raptor fan, are those vehicles a little bit overkill for you? No problem. Ford happens to also sell the Maverick, which is the best compact pickup truck on the market. The Maverick has racked up a ton of accolades since it was first released. It was named the Best Small Truck and Best Fuel Efficient Truck in the Consumer Reports 2024 buying guide. It won North American Truck of the Year back in 2022. It has been named to the Car & Driver 10 Best list. And so much more. If you want a compact pickup, there is no valid excuse for not getting a Maverick.

6. You Don’t Want the Most Powerful V8-Powered Pickup Truck

The Ford Raptor R has 720 horsepower for 2024. That makes it the most powerful V8-powered pickup truck around. That is on top of all the other things that makes the Raptor R awesome. The V8 is going away soon, we all know that. So, why not grab the most powerful version that you can? And that happens to be under the hood of a Ford.

5. You Are Not Interested in Driving the North American Truck of the Year

The 2024 Ford F-Series Super Duty was named 2024 North American Truck of the Year by the North American Car, Utility and Truck awards committee. So, if you are not driving a Ford Super Duty you are settling for second best. Or third or fourth best depending on what you pick. Wouldn’t you rather drive the best?

4. You Don’t Like Trucks That Hold Their Value

Buying a new truck or SUV is expensive. However, one way to shield yourself from a large financial hit is by purchasing one that retains its value. For 2024 Kelley Blue Book said the Ford Bronco retains its value better than any other vehicle than you can buy. It gave it a 5-year resale value of 66.7 percent. In addition, the Ford F-150 Lightning won the Electric Truck category, and the Ford Maverick won the Compact Pickup Truck category. Ford trucks and SUVs retain their value and that makes them attractive buys.

3. You Don’t Want the Most Capable Trucks

If you are buying a truck to do heavy work, why would you not get the one that can do the most work? The 2024 Ford Super Duty offers an available high-output 6.7L V8 Power Stroke diesel with a class leading 500 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque. Properly equipped it can tow 40,000 pounds. More than any other truck in its class. Why would you not want that?

2. You Don’t Like Your Trucks Made in America

All Ford F-Series trucks are assembled in America. Want a Chevy Silverado? Some of them are built in Mexico. Same with the Ram 1500. The F-Series creates over 500,000 jobs across America. There really isn’t anything else to say about that.

1. You Don’t Like Being Number One

Not wanting a Ford truck means that you don’t want to be number one. The F-Series has been the best-selling truck in America for 47 consecutive years. In 2023, the number one selling full-size electric truck and full-size hybrid truck were also Fords. Nobody sold more vehicles in America last year than Ford. They beat Toyota and Chevy. And outsold Ram by nearly four to one. If you don’t like being number one, then don’t get a Ford. But that is the worst excuse we can think of.
