07 Broken Leaf Spring

Hi Folks, I mostly spend my time over in the OBS side of things, or the NC chapter. However a friend with an 07 F150 CC 6.5 bed 4x4 asked me to look into this.

The rear Spring on his truck broke a leaf, not sure when it actually broke, but it doesn't look to be uncommon, there's a couple of threads on here about that particular issue.

I wanted to ask, is there any recommended or known good upgrades for this spring? Trying to avoid a dump-truck like ride, but still gain a little extra payload capacity. Plus I prefer recommendations over reviews on websites, as they can be bogus!

Thanks for your help!

Broken Spring Pack on Rear of 07 F150.

Check a little before buying, but if I remember correctly 250 springs fit these trucks with almost no alterations. Only hand tools needed

The problem you are going to run into is that you have a double punched center bolt. You have a few options he can choose from. First option is getting a new leaf and repairing just the broken one. Second option is just replacing the entire assembly itself (or both sides), or going with heavy duty option springs.

If you just fix one side you may run the chance of leaning because you're putting new steel only under one side. Really depends on what you want to do and what your budget allows.

Send me a message if you need help determining what you need! Looks like we aren't terribly far from one another so shipping shouldn't be bad.
