New F350 regular cab

Appreciate all the nice comments, the lift is a three inch lift. It’s not a leveling Kit, the truck came with a cool rake to it and I like that look a lot and didn't want to lose it so when I called to order the lift I was very adamant that I wanted the back lifted as well. I had the dealership I purchased the truck from put in the lift.
The rims are pro comp 6631 18X9’s the tires are pro comp 35’s extreme AT’s. I wanted to order Mickey Thompson ATX but they said they were back ordered quite a while. I ordered the tires and rims from 4 Wheel Parts and I know they push the Pro Comp line and later I had a feeling had I said I was going to look elsewhere for the Mickey Thompsons a set would likely have shown up but I didn’t think of it at the time. No big deal as it turns out the Pro Comps ride very nice and smooth with no shake.
Someone asked if the lift hits the exhaust. Its close but the driveshaft is just off to the side enough that it would take a huge amount of droop I think before it would ever make contact. I go under every once in a while and check if its made contact. I’d know because the pipe right where it would make contact with the driveshaft is nice and smooth so I would see a scuff if it made contact.
A friend just got a new F250 at the same time I got mine and I was very surprised how much taller the F350 is. I almost ordered a 5 inch lift and I’m so glad I didn’t as it would have cleared the 35’s for sure with no lift.
Someone commented that the 35’s look small and they do in the picture and I always think when people say they have 35’s their stretching the truth and have 33 or 31’s but they really are 35’s. I used to have a Chevy with 7 inches of lift and 38 inch tires and this truck is higher with 3 inches and 35’s. Love it so for!! Again, thanks for all the nice comments.
I know the F350 F250 comparisons can get quite heated so if its a fluke that mine is taller than my friends f250 than so be it. I meant nothing by the comment.

I don't think the tires look too small. Personally I like having room in the wheel well for the axle to articulate. You know those trucks that are driving around with the wheel wells stuffed with the largest tire they will hold are never taken off road, and if they are the fenders will not come out in one piece.

Good looking. I am looking at ordering similar but have run into a issue, and wonder if you looked into. The XL and XLT still can be had with Transfer case and manual locking hubs that I prefer. You mentioned you got locker rear end. This is electronic? and what does the front axle have??? I can not find a manf that makes a limited slip for either front or rear axle currently.

the rear locker is electronic and is run by the rotary switch on the dash. The front differential is open and Ford does not offer any traction aids for the Front axle of the SD. Only the Raptor is offered with a front LS.
Ford used to offer front and rear LS differentials. My dad's old '81 F150 had them in both diffs and that truck would go through just about anything.

Has two hundred miles on it so far. I ordered it with every option that was available with the single cab. There isn't a lot, for some reason options are really limited without it being a crew cab. I love the look of the single cab and have never cared for the four door look. They are handy though. I added a three inch lift and 35 inch pro comp tires. I ordered it with the 4.30 gears and locker rear end, LED screen in the gauges, electric seats, backup camera. Like I said every option they had for the single cab. So far I just love it. I'm going to put in adjustable front control arms as I don't like the look of how it has to hang down to keep the caster in check.
I see two options you appear to have missed - the cab lights and steps/running boards. Still a great looking truck !

The angle of the front control arms also affects anti-dive, not just caster. With the control arm no level to the ground, but angled down towards the front, under braking the front axle will tend to push the truck up, binding up the front suspension. Losing that compliance will tend to make the front wheel lock up sooner than they would otherwise. FWIW, something to think about if you raise the rear of the control arms.

[QUOTE=SuperDutyScaler;14880717]Man that truck is flippin AWESOME!!!!!! I was looking at selling my 2004 F350 and ordering the same identical truck you have and then buy a used little car for me and the kids when need be
I don't think its a decision you'd ever regret. I thought it over quite a while before ordering it. I'm a GM person at heart, grew up driving a 72 4x4 and eventually did a body off restoration on it. If you look at the SD next to a picture of a 72 chevy you'd be surprised how much the body looks like it. One big plus that pushed me to the Ford (I'm not a strongly brand loyal person like some people are when it comes to vehicles) is the solid axle front end. I just don't like that independent suspension, not for a truck. The 4.30 gears are perfect with the tires. Took it on the highway last night and it handles perfect!! Just perfect, no wondering, no vibration so the tires must have balanced out. At 80 MPH im at about 2200 RPM.
I used to have a 2006 f150 and this is just a tank compared to the f150. I just love it.

Nice looking truck.
In my area, trucks like this have cab clearance lights and few other options. Unlike my truck that lives the cushy life, these trucks have a long life of pushing plows, towing trailers, hauling tools, and generally working hard each and every day. All stuff they were designed and built to do.
I remember the first extended cab I ever saw. Thought the cab looked weird on the truck. Then I remember the moment I saw my first F250 crew cab. I had a GM on order at the time. Cancelled that truck and ordered an F250. I've only owned Fords since. I don't consider myself a Ford guy but 15 straight years of owning a Ford seems like a Common-law marriage type thing to Ford.
