New aftermarket oil cooler - slightly larger holes for coolant flow

I have not read of anyone using this, but check it out:

IPResearch High Flow Oil Cooler Kit for Ford 6.0 Powerstroke

From their add:

This is a brand new product manufactured by IPRresearch.com which is a High Flow oil cooler kit for your Ford 6.0 Powerstroke. This is what every 6.0 owner has been waiting for. After many years of success with our delete kits and Extreme Duty EGR Coolers we realized that the only missing link to making your 6.0 reliable and trouble free is to re-design the factory internal oil cooler. Most of you are spend thousands of dollars in parts and labor to fix your 6.0 from overheating, leaking EGR coolers, plugged oil coolers and head studs so this oil cooler is just a small price to pay to do it right. This cooler has been in development for over 1 year. All gaskets and a new HPOP screen is included "not pictured"

This is a introductory sale price of $349, retail will be $379.

Here's what we've changed.

•Larger coolant passages by as much as 35%
•Thicker overall core size increase in coolant capacity
•Redesign internal cooling fins which are larger in flow area and new straight through design to minimize clogging
•Better cooling efficiency than the factory cooler

Well what do you think, My truck is apart looking for new oil cooler. was just getting ready to post to ask about external type coolers. The bullet proof one is high as hell, liberator is half the money.

the liberator one is reported to kill the A/C temps .. the bulletproof mounts after the A/C condenser and isn't as detrimental .. being in AZ I need to have the best A/C possible I kinda like this new replacement unit Mark found

Yea the new IPR one look like it should work a lot better. I guess ipr has been around a while. I would like to try it, but also have funny feeling about being lab rat for new products.

It looks great on paper. I will be very interested to see how it actually performs and how reliable it is. I wonder if they need any beta testers.

That is awesome...Finally somebody improved the OEM instead of instead of asking 5x the amount of money for a "system". If the quality is good I imagine these will sale like hotcakes.

Just talked to guy at IPR , He said that his cooler worked difforent than the factory cooler. How, once temps get up at idle his will read 10 or so degrees lower EOT than ect which is good, but at running say at 70 down the road his will read 30 plus. His words 230 or so, but he doesnt seem to think this is a problem. Told me oil doesnt break down till 290 or so. but kept saying his will not have the blockage problems stock ones have. I Need oil cooler but maybe not this one. what do yall think

I agree - thanks for calling him.

I would probably pass on it also. I would not like seeing that large of a temperature split. He is correct though, it really isn't an issue w/ the oil breaking down, but I like to be able to troubleshoot and would not like seeing it that high.

This is one time I'll pass for being the guinea pig. I'm extremely happy with my bulletproof setup.
